To me, it was interesting to see that the old Greek stories, like the siege of Troy for instance, were already known in the Low Countries during the Middle Ages, something I hadn't realized before. ![]() Two of the stories, Karel en Elegast en Beatrijs, I already knew from secondary school, but I still enjoyed reading them in present day Dutch this time.
